The opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate or Senior Associate to join our Construction and Infrastructure team working with Partner Sonya Kroon and her team. Sonya is a recommended front end construction lawyer in Doyles Guide 2024 and is highly regarded for her commercial acumen, strong client relationships and technical capability. We offer the opportunity to work in a dynamic, down to earth team where we value team work, mentoring and technical excellence.
The successful candidate will:
- enjoy working with experienced Development and Project Managers to procure complex projects
- benefit from close partner mentoring
- value the opportunity to work on a range of projects across different industry sectors and within a team
- be required to mentor more junior solicitors
- exercise initiative and have a level of autonomy commensurate with their experience
- earn attractive renumeration and have the opportunity to progress based on performance
- work on high value contracts for a major superannuation fund, listed entities and for other blue chip and international clients in the mixed use, industrial, education, commercial and FMCG sectors
To be successful in this role, you might have:
- 4+ years PAE.
- demonstrated experience in front end construction
- ability to manage a file load autonomously, whilst delegating work tasks effectively.
- excellent written skills and ability to use plain English to explain legal concepts concisely.
- a desire to develop your career and professional networks in the general insurance industry.
- a ‘can do’ approach and a team player attitude.
