The opportunity
HWL Ebsworth Lawyers has a rare opportunity for a Business Development professional to join our national marketing and business development team in a hybrid role that combines Business Development and Client Relationship Management focuses. We offer a fresh, fun, and supportive team environment as part of our broader national business development and marketing team.
You're not a typical candidate
We are seeking a new team member that is business minded and has a keen interest in all things related to business development, client growth, professional services and marketing. You'll have great written skills, the ability to influence and strategize, a sharp eye for detail and the ability to work well autonomously, while also enjoying collaborating with the broader national team. You will have a degree in marketing, business, communications, law or other related discipline and have several years of transferrable experience. You think strategically, motivate and collaborate, and will make valuable contributions by bringing great ideas to the table to help deliver an optimal experience to our internal and external clients.
You will play a vital role as the primary business development and marketing point of contact for your allocated practice groups.
You will work with
- national and state practice group heads to develop and maintain a group strategy and work with the partners on its implementation
- partners by delivering business development and profile building advice
- marketing team members and partners on client opportunity identification, pursuits and the delivery of compelling and commercial responses to opportunities that arise
- client relationship partners and client teams on client plans, strategy, attending pitch debriefs and client listening sessions, identifying opportunities and areas for improvement, and working on implementing key lessons, pursuit objectives and messages
- key stakeholders by contributing to the growth of clients and success of the groups while building on your industry and client knowledge, advisory, strategy and client management skills
