The opportunity

We have an opportunity for a Senior Associate and Special Counsel to join our highly regarded Adelaide Environment and Planning practice, led by Ali Field and James Levinson. You will be working with a team of 4 Partners, 2 lawyers, 3 paralegals and 2 support staff. Our team have a strong track record of delivering outcomes for a diverse range of private sector and government clients, including project and environmental approvals, infrastructure, cultural heritage and natural resources regulation.

If you are a lawyer with experience in public law, environment and planning, litigation, construction or property law, this role could be a great opportunity for you. In this role you'll be busy with:

  • supporting the Environment and Planning partners by leading matters;
  • mentoring junior solicitors and associates;
  • maintaining strong relationships with key clients; and
  • providing advice to clients and internal teams.

To succeed in this role, ideally you'll have

  • 5+ years PAE;
  • experience in environment and planning law or related fields such as public law, litigation, property, construction or infrastructure;
  • interest in infrastructure delivery, and project and environmental approvals;
  • excellent communication skills;
  • strong drafting skills;
  • commercial acumen and critical thinking capabilities; and
  • leadership skills and an interest in developing our up-and-coming junior cohort.
