About us

HWL Ebsworth is not your typical law firm. Our rapid rise to become the largest legal partnership in Australia shows that in our case, the differences are real. We deliver first class legal advice to our government and commercial clients in every state and territory across Australia. Firm wide, we have over 270 Partners and 1700 people.

The opportunity

HWL Ebsworth is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to join our national Marketing team. This in-house role is an exciting opportunity to visually communicate the identity of one of Australia’s leading commercial law firms. Based in either our Sydney or Melbourne office, you will work closely with the Head of Marketing and key stakeholders across the firm to ensure our brand is professionally represented across all visual communications.

As a critical member of our Marketing team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality, on-brand materials that support business development, client engagement, and internal communications, ensuring visual consistency and strategic alignment across the firm.

Accountabilities

  • design and deliver engaging marketing materials in response to internal briefs and business requirements including proposals, brochures, presentations, website graphics, advertisements, invitations, email templates, signage, digital assets and social media graphics.
  • ensure the firm's visual identity is applied consistently across all internal and external channels in line with brand guidelines.
  • manage, maintain and update branded templates (Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint).
  • manage the firm's image library and graphic assets, ensuring files are aligned with the firm's visual identity.
  • coordinate the production of the firm's branded promotional items and merchandise, liaising with external suppliers and ensuring quality and brand consistency.
  • support the delivery of key marketing and brand projects, collaborating with external creative agencies (where required).
  • provide guidance to internal stakeholders on use of the firm's brand assets.

To succeed in this role, ideally you'll have

  • a qualification in Graphic Design, Marketing, Brand Management, or a related field, with at least three years of experience in a brand or graphic design role, ideally in professional services, legal, or corporate environments.
  • you have both a creative and strategic mindset, ensuring all design outputs are both visually compelling but aligned with business requirements.
  • proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro) as well as the Microsoft Office suite (Word and PowerPoint).
  • a keen eye for detail and exceptional organisational and time management skills.
  • have a collaborative approach, with the ability to engage with marketing and internal stakeholders.

Our size, range of experience and competitive pricing model will provide you with everything you need to succeed. • Location: Our cutting edge office is conveniently located in the heart of either Melbourne or Sydney CBD amidst a fast-pace, high-networking legal community.
  • Great culture and a huge networking platform: Be part of a firm renowned for its friendly and down-to-earth culture. Sign up for our 'Latte Link-Up' program to connect with members of the firm outside of your immediate team, across all levels from shared business services through to C-Suite! • Prestige: Join a firm consistently ranked at the forefront of the Australian legal market, where your work is recognised nationally.
