The opportunity

We have an excellent opportunity for a Solicitor with 2+ years PAE to join our highly regarded Brisbane Taxation team, working closely with industry-recognised partners. As one of the largest and most established taxation teams in the Brisbane market, you will gain valuable exposure to multi-jurisdictional matters and a broad range of complex tax issues. The work is both technically challenging and commercially focused, with the team regularly advising on income tax, GST, land tax, payroll tax and stamp duty matters for a diverse client base. In addition, you will be involved in drafting and advising on intricate trust structures, trust deeds, and wills and estates matters. This role presents an outstanding opportunity for someone looking to deepen their technical skills while gaining hands-on client engagement and access to strong mentorship within a high-performing and supportive team environment.

To succeed in this role, ideally, you'll have

• 2+ years PAE
• income tax and/or state tax experience (or a desire to grow in these areas)
• strategic and critical thinking capability
• a vested interest in tax and structuring, underpinned by a strong commercial mindset
• broader legal experience beyond tax, such as M&A, property, commercial transactions, or tax litigation and a desire to apply that knowledge in a specialised context
