Our Brisbane Insurance Statutory Classes Practice Group comprises of 3 Partners and 29 Staff across a number of speciality areas.

The opportunity

We have a unique opportunity for a dynamic candidate to join our highly regarded Brisbane Insurance Statutory Classes practice as a valued member of our close-knit team. You will work predominantly with Partner Rachel Blake, focusing on state workers compensation and liability matters for several leading clients.

You will gain exposure to drafting pleadings, managing matters from file inception through to resolution, preparing matters for hearing, and undertaking assessments of liability and quantum. You’ll also work closely with clients, providing advice and support across a broad range of statutory claims. This role offers direct client access, hands-on mentorship from experienced partners, and long-term career development within a high-performing, collegiate team.

To succeed in this role, ideally you’ll have

• 2+ years PQE
• Experience in state workers compensation and liability work
• Strong legal and analytic skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Strong desire to learn and progress
• Motivated, can-do approach. Ability to think outside the box and provide value-adding solutions to clients
