The opportunity

We have an opportunity in our Adelaide Banking & Finance team for a candidate to join our highly regarded practice. You will be working within a market-leading team of motivated and skilled lawyers, led by Peter Staniszewski. Our team acts for all Big Four domestic banks, major non-bank lenders, overseas lenders, and significant corporate borrowers on bilateral, club, and syndicated lending across multiple industries. You will gain exposure to interstate work at a national level. This is a unique opportunity to take your career to the next level and be a part of a growing practice. You'll be busy with:

• supporting the Banking and Finance partner across matters;
• mentoring junior solicitors and paralegals;
• maintaining strong relationships with key clients; and
• providing advice to clients and internal teams.

To succeed in this role, ideally, you'll have

• 3 to 6+ years post admission experience in banking and finance;
• strong experience in documenting lending transactions and advising on the PPSA;
• experience with settling transactions using PEXA;
• excellent communication skills;
• strong drafting skills;
• commercial acumen and critical thinking capabilities; and
• for more senior candidates, leadership skills and an interest in developing our up-and-coming junior cohort.
