The opportunity

HWLE's Darwin office are seeking a Associate/Senior Associate to join our highly regarded litigation team. Working with a broad range of clients, including government bodies, ASX-listed companies, financial institutions, and private businesses, you will be involved in:

  • Commercial litigation and dispute resolution;
  • Contract disputes;
  • Regulatory investigations;
  • Administrative law and judicial review matters;
  • Insolvency and debt recovery;
  • Employment dispute resolution;
  • Native title dispute resolution;
  • Liquor licensing applications and disciplinary matters;
  • Planning applications and appeals; and
  • Construction and infrastructure disputes.

Ideally, you might have:

  • 5+ years PAE, with experience in commercial litigation;
  • Strong advocacy and negotiation skills;
  • Experience advising and representing clients in high-stakes disputes;
  • Exposure to the Northern Territory jurisdiction is desirable but not essential;
  • The ability to manage matters independently while working collaboratively within a team.
