About us

HWL Ebsworth is not your typical law firm. Our rapid rise to become the largest legal partnership in Australia shows that in our case, the differences are real. We deliver first class legal advice to our government and commercial clients in every state and territory across Australia. Firm wide, we have over 270 Partners and 1700 people

The opportunity

HWL Ebsworth Lawyers has a rare opportunity for a professional to join our marketing and business development team, playing an integral part in the growth and relationship management of one of our largest clients, the Commonwealth Government. We offer a fresh, fun and supportive team environment as part of our broader national business development and marketing team. We believe that a good work-life balance is important and we offer flexibility under our remote work policy (3:2).

You're not a typical candidate

You have a sharp eye for detail and great analytical and written skills with the ability to coach and advise stakeholders. You will have studied a discipline related to law, commerce, business or marketing and have a keen interest in all things related to Government. You think strategically, will make valuable contributions and will bring great ideas to the table to help deliver an optimal client experience, increased client satisfaction and further growth.

It's not your typical offer

You will play a vital role as the primary business development point of contact for the client and practice group. In this role you will support and further develop our relationship with the Commonwealth Government by using your skills to:

  • develop and maintain a deep understanding of the client's business operations, objectives, opportunities and challenges;
  • develop and deliver tailored relationship action plans for each of the client's business areas;
  • identify client needs that might translate into client pursuit opportunities and connect with relevant stakeholders;
  • monitor initiatives and assist in delivering commitments made by team members in the agreed client relationship action plans;
  • advise and coach partners in relation to client relationship management activities;
  • track progress on deliverables;
  • attend debriefs to identify opportunities for improvement;
  • identify ways to add greater value via partnering activities and the delivery of value added services; and
  • work closely with the Senior Tender Writer to evaluate and secure opportunities as they arise.

What we offer

  • Location: Our cutting-edge offices are conveniently located in the heart of the CBD amidst a fast-pace, high-networking legal community. Enjoy working in a state-of-the-art office environment with access to modern end of trip facilities.
  • Culture: Be part of a firm renowned for its friendly and down-to-earth culture.
  • Prestige: Join a firm consistently ranked at the forefront of the Australian legal market, where your work is recognised nationally.
