The opportunity
We have created a new People Risk & Compliance Coordinator role to support the accurate, efficient and timely delivery of the firm’s people risk and compliance obligations. This includes supporting the firm's workplace health and safety obligations across both the physical and psychosocial risk domains.
Reporting to the People Risk & Systems Manager, this role provides operational coordination and administrative support across people compliance activities, including audit and assurance programs, compliance reporting, system controls and key people risk and WHS initiatives. You will play a vital role in ensuring compliance controls are embedded in practice, supported by robust records, and audit-ready at all times.
This position suits a highly organised coordinator with strong attention to detail who enjoys structured, process-driven work, collaboration across teams and contributing to continuous improvement in a professional services environment.
You'll be busy with
- Maintain people compliance records, registers, databases and trackers, ensuring accuracy, accessibility and alignment with privacy and record‑keeping obligations
- Administer compliance action logs, monitor due dates, follow up action owners and escalate risks or overdue items as required
- Coordinate people compliance audit programs, including scheduling, evidence collation, remediation tracking and close‑out documentation
- Prepare routine compliance reporting and dashboards (e.g. training completion, audit actions, policy attestations and WHS injury, incident and hazard reporting)
- Coordinate compliance-related training logistics, including inductions, refreshers, enrolments, attendance tracking and maintenance of training records
- Provide project and operational support for people risk and compliance initiatives, including psychosocial risk management implementation, professional certification programs and HR compliance uplift activities
- Support HRIS, LMS and document management systems from a people compliance perspective to ensure controls operate as designed
- Assist with the drafting, review, publication and document control of People & Development policies and procedures
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, guidance material and process documentation
- Triage routine people compliance enquiries, coordinating responses across People & Development and key stakeholders
- Build strong working relationships across the firm to support timely completion of compliance requirements and continuous improvement
To be successful in this role, you’ll have
- Strong administrative, coordination or compliance support experience, ideally in a regulated or professional services environment
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, confidentiality and record integrity
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and follow‑ups
- Confidence working with systems and data, including HRIS, LMS, Excel trackers and document management tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and functions
- A continuous improvement mindset and a practical approach to strengthening processes and controls
- Sound judgement and discretion when handling sensitive people information
- Exposure to WHS or people safety compliance (including incident management, training or audit support) is desirable but not essential
