Our Brisbane Corporate & Commercial practice group comprises of circa 38 people, including 8 Partners across a number of speciality areas.

The opportunity

Working closely with Stewart Ebbott, we have an opportunity to join our highly regarded & rapidly growing Brisbane Corporate & Commercial practice. We advise clients from start-ups and private businesses to ASX-listed entities and large unlisted public companies, with a focus on Food and Agribusiness, Health, Construction & Logistics.

You'll be busy with

• Mergers and acquisitions (M&A)
• Capital raising
• Structuring and corporate restructures
• Commercial contract matters
• Scoping, planning and conducting due diligence
• Drafting and negotiating key transaction documents (e.g. sale and purchase agreements, disclosure materials)
• Managing the completion process

To succeed in this role, ideally, you'll have

• 5+ years PAE within a reputable corporate practice
• Excellent analytical and communication skills to deliver technically and commercially astute advice
• Proven experience in preparing and negotiating transaction documents and commercial contracts, advising on governance agreements and drafting corporate head office advice
• Strategic and critical thinking capabilities
• Well-developed project and relationship management ability
• The skills to work autonomously and mentor junior colleagues and allocate resources to ensure effective utilisation of the team
