The opportunity

Our Workplace Relations & Safety team, led by Chris Shelley, advises a diverse client base including Australia's leading employers, government bodies and statutory corporations across all sectors. This role reflects an opportunity to develop experience influencing and contributing to the full spectrum of workplace matters. The team takes a collaborative approach, working alongside clients to deliver commercial solutions that deliver results. Joining this team means exposure to challenging workplace relations issues, with opportunities to be actively involved in intricate and high-level investigations.

To succeed in this role, ideally you'll have

  • Proven experience handling both contentious and non-contentious employment matters;
  • Broad expertise in advising on employment issues;
  • General litigation experience will be highly regarded;
  • Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to build client relationships, lead matters, and work collaboratively with colleagues, including mentoring junior team members;
  • Genuine enthusiasm for contributing to the growth and development of the practice.
