The opportunity
We have an opportunity for a Senior Personal Assistant to join our highly regarded Commonwealth Government Sydney practice, led by Will Sharpe. This team works in government and administrative law, and manages a high-volume litigation practice on behalf of the Commonwealth government. You will be joining a team of administrative staff assisting with the management of the practice and will take responsibility for coordinating support for a local team of 10 lawyers and a national team of 3 Partners and 17 lawyers. This is a unique opportunity to take your career to the next level and be a part of a growing practice.
In this role, you will:
- managing client enquiries and operational tasks, ensuring adherence to deadlines and client specific guidelines;
- providing substantive dedicated administrative and operational support for active matters;
- maintaining files;
- monthly billing using our file management system, Aderant; and
- preparing and delivering detailed quarterly reports, general panel reports, and annual audit reports;
- providing general administrative assistance, including calendar management, meeting arrangement and drafting correspondence, to the broader team.
Ideally you will have:
- experience in assisting in managing a high-volume litigation practice;
- experience supporting a Partner or executive;
- demonstrated strong organisational skills with a mature, proactive approach;
- excellent grammar, spelling and attention to detail;
- strong time management and organisation skills; and
- experience using Aderant and iManage (or similar) is highly desirable but not essential.
