The opportunity

We are looking for an Associate to join our impressive and highly regarded Sydney Insurance practice, working closely with Partner Jason Stevens and his team. You'll work on an interesting and broad mix of General Insurance claims working with high end network insurance matters, with a particular focus on cases relating to property damage, where you will have autonomy over your own files as well as working on litigious and non-litigious matters. This role will specialise in General Insurance, providing advice on claims and coverage issues and practical assistance with claims investigations and fraud.

To succeed in this role, ideally you'll have

  • 4+ years PQE
  • critical analysis skills in respect to expert reports contracts and/or legislation and regulatory documents
  • ability to draft clear and concise communications and explain legal concepts in plain English
  • good interpersonal and communication skills to be able to deal with clients and other parties
  • a desire to develop your career and professional networks in the general insurance industry
  • a ‘can do’ approach and a team player attitude
