The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated and detail-oriented Legal Applications Specialist to join our Applications Team. This hands on role focuses on the configuration, enhancement and support of Clio Operate/ShareDo and related legal technology solutions within a leading law firm environment. Working closely with lawyers, business stakeholders and technical specialists, you will translate legal and operational requirements into practical, scalable solutions.
As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate with analysts, developers, integration specialists and support teams to deliver and continuously improve legal technology platforms. While the primary focus is ShareDo administration and configuration, the role also offers exposure to practice management systems, document management, workflow automation, reporting and enterprise integrations.
You'll be busy with
- configure, administer and enhance ShareDo to support legal matter management and key business processes across the firm.
- design and implement workflows, forms, business rules, security settings, notifications and automation to meet business needs.
- partner with lawyers, legal assistants and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective system solutions.
- support and maintain integrations between ShareDo and other platforms, including practice management, document management, finance and Microsoft 365 systems.
- work with developers and integration specialists on APIs, data mapping, automation and technical issue resolution.
- conduct configuration testing and support system integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT) and production releases.
- investigate, troubleshoot and resolve application issues and system defects.
- identify opportunities to improve legal processes, enhance user experience and leverage new platform capabilities.
- support application governance, change management and release management activities.
To succeed in this role, ideally you'll have
- 2 - 5 years' experience configuring and supporting ShareDo or similar legal case, workflow or matter management platforms.
- experience working with legal professionals and business stakeholders within a law firm, legal services organisation or legal technology environment.
- a solid understanding of legal matter management processes and workflow-based applications.
- hands-on experience configuring workflows, forms, business rules, security roles, permissions, notifications and automation.
- exposure to enterprise integrations, including APIs, data mapping, workflow triggers and connected business systems.
- the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams, including business analysts, developers, integration specialists, testers and support teams.
- strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with lawyers, legal support teams and business leaders.
- excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
- experience supporting testing, release management and production deployments.
- exposure to legal technology platforms such as Aderant, Elite 3E, iManage, NetDocuments, Actionstep, LEAP or similar products.
