The opportunity
We have an opportunity for a part time paralegal (4 days a week) to join our Hobart office, working closely with a Special Counsel to support our highly regarded Canberra Insurance team. You will gain exposure to a diverse and engaging mix of insurance matters, including law tort claims, statutory workers compensation and CTP claims.
Day to day, you'll be busy with
- document handling and maintaining accurate records;
- preparing legal documents including court forms and subpoenas;
- correspondence with clients; and
- ad hoc administrative tasks.
To succeed in this role, ideally you'll have
- excellent grammar, spelling and attention to detail;
- strong time management and organisation skills;
- ability to draft clear and concise communications;
- good interpersonal skills in conversing with clients and other parties; and
- a desire to develop your career and professional network in the legal industry.
Among law student applicants, a minimum 2 years left in your studies is required.
