The Opportunity

We have a unique opportunity for a Senior Associate to join the Transport group in our Sydney office, working with highly respected partner Jayne Heatley. The role will be focussed on commercial transactions and regulatory advice across a diverse client base. You will be advising on the sale of business jets and other aircraft, sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), airport developments, helicopter operators (aerial firefighting, medical and policing), private international law such as the Cape Town Convention, airline startups, critical infrastructure cyber security, international aviation licensing, slots, leisure and tourism operations.

You will gain valuable experience in cross-border matters and have the chance to collaborate with lawyers from the US, Asia Pacific region and the UK on complex transactions.

 

To succeed in this role, ideally you'll have

  • 4+ years PAE
  • Passionate about aviation and transport
  • highly motivated with an ability and desire to work autonomously where needed, but to also work collaboratively with the other team members
  • Strong practice management and attention to detail
  • appetite to mentor our junior cohort
