The opportunity
We are looking for a Stamping and Searches Assistant to provide procedural, compliance, and administrative support to the Brisbane Property practice. The role is responsible for managing document stamping processes and conducting property-related searches.
Day to day, your tasks will include
- preparing and lodging transfer duty documents via the relevant state revenue portals;
- confirming transfer duty amount based on contract details, applicable concessions and duty calculation provided by authors;
- monitoring assessment notices and ensure payment deadlines are met;
- keeping lodgements on QRO revenue current;
- ensuring all statutory timeframes are strictly adhered to;
- ordering property searches based on instructions from authors;
- maintaining checklist of searches required to be ordered or returned; and
- opening and closing of files.
To succeed in this role, ideally you'll have
- experience with administrative support role;
- excellent grammar, spelling and attention to detail; and
- impeccable time management and organisation skills.
Among law student applicants, a minimum 2 years left in your studies is required .
