The Opportunity

We have a unique opportunity for a dynamic candidate to join our highly regarded Sydney insurance practice working with insurance partner Michael Milton and the broader team.

The focus is primarily defendant general insurance in the areas of public liability (casualty), property damage and policy advice. There is a great variety of primarily litigated matters in varying sizes and complexity. You'll get direct client access and scope to team up with our national colleagues.

To succeed in this role, ideally you'll have

• 3 + years' experience in general insurance / defending public liability claims
• Ability to run matters fairly autonomously, manage deadlines and client guidelines
• Experience with injury claims (non-statutory)
• Experience with investigating claims / briefing experts / Counsel
• Experience with the NSW Courts and hearing process
• Negotiation skills with the opportunity to participate in alternate dispute resolution
• Excellent written skills and ability to use plain English to explain legal concepts concisely
• Results driven attitude
• A desire to develop your career and professional networks in the Insurance industry
