The opportunity

We have an opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Officer to join our Finance team based in our Melbourne office. These positions play a key in supporting the continued growth and success of the business. The roles are fast paced and will suit individuals who thrive in high volume settings.

 

You'll be busy with

  • daily management of cash receipts and receipting cash payments received
  • reconciling bank accounts daily
  • investigating unallocated cash balances including reconciling complex accounts that have been escalated
  • management of client questions and internal support as required
  • ensuring credit and collection policies and procedures are followed within the Firm
  • timely processing invoice cancellations / adjustments as required
  • actively investigating and resolving any disputes/queries within a timely and effective manner as well as assisting with client payment plans
  • collating information for internal business needs as require
  • supporting staff and Partners with related queries

To succeed in this role, ideally you'll have

  • excellent accuracy with processing volume
  • strong time management, attention to detail and organisational skills
  • experience with trust accounts would be advantageous
  • experience with our practice management system (Aderant) is desirable but not essential, otherwise familiarity using finance software
