The opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join our National Finance team. We have a friendly team culture, and our Business Services team is at the core of our success. The role is fast paced and will suit someone with demonstrated experience processing a high volume of data with strong accuracy.

 

You'll be busy with

  • leading the firm's financial accounting processes including production of month-end financial statements and reporting
  • leading the firm's year-end financial statement preparation and tax return process
  • supporting a team across our national finance function made up of our payroll, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and credit control streams, acting as the escalation point on various queries
  • regularly communicating and influencing various business units on compliance and practice group specific insights
  • supporting statutory processes including FBT reporting, BAS and indirect tax obligations
  • supporting annual insurance processes
  • supporting the production of regular KPI budgets and reports for staff and Partners
  • monitoring debtor compliance and reporting to management
  • financial analysis and company performance to support operational decisions
  • supporting broader annual budgeting process

 

To succeed in this role, ideally you'll have

  • 5 + years
  • demonstrated supervisory and leadership experience
  • preferably experience working across a full-service finance function (i.e. payroll, accounts payable and receivable)
  • degree qualification with completion of CPA / CA
  • ability to liaise with a multitude of stakeholders
  • excellent accuracy with processing high volume enquires
  • strong time management, attention to detail, and organisational skills
  • advanced Excel skills, including in Microsoft Office
